ISLAM IS BEAUTIFUL

The advantages of prayers..

  • Prayers help release the burden of the soul and expand the chest. In prayers, which are the best deeds, the heart gets connected to Allah the Almighty.
  • Prayers are surely a healing for the soul.
  • Prayers help adjust the ‘rhythm’ of the body.

Contrary to this is the forenoon time (Dhuha), in which secretion of cortisone reach the minimum limits; leading man to feel exhausted with the stress of work, and the need to have rest. This is almost after 7 hours of early get-up. Here comes the time of noon (Zuhr) prayer, which gives complacency and quietness to the exhausted heart and body, and following which man seeks to get an hour of sleep that gives him rest and reinvigorates his activity, in what is termed as Qailulah (nap) before (Asr) (afternoon) prayer. It has been proved that the human body at this period generally encounters a hard time, where an increase occurs in an anesthetic chemical substance secreted by the body that has the effect of tranquilizing, and incites man to sleep. The body, after 7 hours of early wake-up, is at the lowest levels of concentration and activity. So if man ignores sleeping at that time, much of his neuromuscular compatibility decreases all day long.

Then comes the Asr (afternoon) Prayer to reinvigorate the body once again. Adrenalin then raises in the blood; causing activity in the body functions particularly the cardiac one. Asr prayer has thus a great effect in preparing the heart and the body to accept this sudden state of activity, which can cause serious troubles to cardiac patients due to the sudden transfer of the heart from the inert state.

Most of the Quran Commentators agreed that the middle prayer is Asr prayer. With the discovery of the increase of Adrenalin hormone at this time, the reason behind this Quranic remarkable command of the keep-up of Asr prayer becomes crystal clear. Performing Asr prayer at designated time, alongside with other extra prayers, reinvigorates the heart gradually to function more effectively after an inert state. So the rest of bodily organs and senses are in deep concentration in prayer, making it easy for the heart and the hormone to adjust the normal rhythm of the body which reaches the climax at that time.

Then comes the Maghreb (sunset) prayer. In contrary to what happens early in the morning, Cortisone decreases and the activity of the body starts to diminish. With the transfer from daylight into night darkness, melatonin increases encouraging relaxation and sleep, and causing laziness to the body. Here prayer comes as a transitional station.

Prayer of Isha (early night prayer) is the last station in the course of the day, wherein the body is transferred from the state of activity and mobility to a state of seeking sleep with the spread of darkness and the increase of melatonin secretion. Therefore, it is commendable to delay Isha prayer to the time before sleep so that all man’s preoccupations are finalized, and sleep comes next. The regular secretion of melatonin is closely related to the sexual and mental maturity, which is the consequence of following a fixed programme and a way of life. Therefore, we find that adherence to perform prayers on time is the best way that guarantees an integral compatibility with daily activities, thus leading to highly efficient functions of human body systems.

  • Prayer is a prevention from varicose. Legs varicose is a common dysfunction in the legs veins, which takes the shape of big and zigzag veins filled with blood of a changed colour all along the lower limbs. Dr. “Tawfiq Elwan”, a Professor in Alexandria Faculty of Medicine (Egypt), indicated that with the meticulous observation of prayer movements, it was found out that prayer is distinguished with a wonderful measure of smoothness, harmony and coordination, represented in standing, kneeling (Ruku’), prostration (Sujood) and sitting between every two prostrations. With a scientific study of the measure of pressure exerted on the walls of the saphenous vein at the ankle joint, it was found out that the great decrease in that pressure during kneeling reaches almost the half. As for the state of Sujood, the average pressure becomes very slight. Naturally, this decrease is a full rest to that vein, which is greatly exhausted due to the severity of pressure all along the periods of standing. The position of Sujood helps the blood circulation work in the same direction of earth gravity, as blood which always suffers the bitter creep from the feet soles to the cardiac muscle, now pours smoothly and easily from top to bottom. This process reduces much of the vein pressure over the feet dorsum around 80 times (from the state of standing to the state of Sujood). Consequently, the risks of having varicose, which rarely affects those performing prayers regularly and properly, are diminished.

  • Prayer for strengthening bones.The activity and the strength of bones are the outcome of :
  1. Powers of pressure and pulling exercised by the muscles and tendons, which sticks to bones, during flexion and extension.
  2. It has been recently proved that an electric current with two different poles runs inside the bones; affecting the distribution of cells functions such as anabolism and catabolism cells. The current also determines at large the aspects of these cells activities. The experiments proved that in case of laziness and rest, the electric current is diminished, leading the bones to lose the componential materials, thus they become thin and weak. Experiment also revealed that during travel to space where gravity is totally absent, muscles become weak and bones become thin due to the inability to resist the burden of the earth gravity. It is therefore deduced that complete rest causes the bones to shrink, as the absence of movements activates catabolism cells, and weakens anabolism cells, hence a reduction of the bony material occurs.
hopefully..ALLAH accept our prayer..

10 Things Every Muslim Must Do!!!!!

LET TAKE A LOOK...

Before that, what is MEANS by ISLAM..

The word Islam itself means Submission to Allah.

Anyone who does indeed submit to the will of Allah as required by Islam is termed a Muslim,which means one who has submitted to the will of Allah. Many people in the West have developed the sad misinformed trend of calling Islam Muhammadenism and it's followers Muhammadins. This is a totally foreign word to Muslims and unrecognized by them. No Muslim has ever called his religion Muhammadenism or called himself a Muhammadin.

HOW TO BE A GOOD MUSLIM?

TIPS FOR US...

1) Sponsor an Orphan. Before anything else, there are hungry Muslim children everywhere who have needs right now. There are several reputable relief agencies who offer orphan sponsorship programs that only cost from $20-$40 a month. You and I know that's nothing expensive on your part - so do it. Some agencies even offer automated withdrawal so you can send a letter once with a voided check and never have to fill anything out again. Doing this can make you close to the Prophet in Paradise.

2) Subscribe to at least three Muslimagazines. This is practically the only way you can keep abreast of issues important to the Muslims in the West. It also supports the budding Muslim media. Even if you don't intend to read the magazines, subscribe anyway. Someone around you will read or you can leave them with others. Make it at least three and try to subscribe for 2-3 years at a time.

3) Go to the Masjid at least once a week for Salat. In the West today, nearly all of us have a Masjid within driving distance. Even if you don't go to the local Masjid for Jum'uah because of your job, then go for at least one Maghrib a week or for Zuhr on Sunday. Whatever, just go at least once a week- WITH YOUR FAMILY. It's the only way that you and your family will consider the Masjid to be your place.

4) If your children go to public school, and there is no Islamic school nearby, then make sure they either get into some Sunday school program, or, if the local Masjid doesn't run it right, then pool together with some like-minded families and run your own program at somebody's house every Saturday or Sunday and conduct it the way you think it should be done. This is the minimum requirement for not losing your children to secular Christianity.

5) Buy at least one book, audio or video produced by a Muslim company or author per month. Have you ever wished that there were better items for you and your family's pleasure? Unfortunately, Muslims don't support their own writers and artists very well. No one can make even a decent living if they want to write or produce for the Muslim market. That must change if you want to see wonderful products for you and your children. Just buy one thing per month. Either out of a catalog or from your local Muslim bookstore. For you it's only $5-$10 bucks, but collectively, it can encourage our creative and talented brothers and sisters to do more.

6) If you see any new Muslims at your Masjid, then partially "adopt" them into your family. The convert experience is basically one of isolation and loneliness. You'd be surprised to know that most converts are outright ignored by the people in the Masjid. Beyond a few pleasantries and handshakes, they are usually never made to feel welcome or accepted. They are often cut off from their non-Muslim friends and relatives so they are doubly vulnerable. A new convert should be invited into various peoples home for dinner a minimum of six times a month. Get together with others and make sure you all put the new convert on your guest list for any sort of gathering.

7) Keep three extra Qur'an translations and some literature in your home at all times. You never know when you'll find someone interested who wants to know more. Besides, your children read only and understand only English. (You wouldn't believe how many Muslim families don't have an English Qur'an translation in their homes! How will the child read it if they don't understand Arabic, and they never understand Arabic, even if their parents are Arabic speaking!)

8) Go to one convention a year. Even if you have given up on them, you have to go. It's the only way your children will feel a part of a greater community of believers. Think about it and realize that you don't just go to a convention for your personal enrichment. It's about Muslim solidarity. Go to at least one every year. Couple it with your vacation plans or something. Just go.

9) Eat only Halal or Kosher Food. Besides all the religious aspects I could mention, which are the most important, by the way, there is another advantage. You solidify your identity and introduce to your family the concept that animals should not die cruelly (like they do in all American slaughterhouses) and that Muslims eat cleaner food. If there are no Halal meat stores nearby, you'll probably find a Kosher store. At least many of the Jews are not shy about Allah's commandment there and have established kosher markets everywhere.

10) Lastly, make sure you and your family have cultural-type items in your home in abundance that are associated with Islam or Islamic culture. Everyone in your home should have prayer beads, prayer rugs, kufis, Hijabs, (even if they're worn only for prayer), gowns, posters, wall plaques,
stickers, logo-shirts, Islamic screen-savers on the computer, and on and on. You want to establish an dentity in your home. Everything outside is totally un-Islamic. At least let the Islamic flavor be present inside.

Hopefully, we can categorize as a good muslim in the eye's of ALLAH...

FAMILY LIFE

HAVE PROBLEM WITH FAMILY MEMBERS??

1-Coping with Strict Parent

Sometimes parents set rules because they fear for their children’s safety,besides, parents set rules because they don’t think that their children can do it for themselves, and on the other hand, the rules is to stay in control or to bring about a desired outcome or simply because they can.

How to cope it???

MEET IN THE MIDDLE

Often teens don’t recognise that they have strict parents until they brush up against a rule that they don’t like. If this is the case for you, don’t bother yelling and screaming about the unfairness of it all because chances are you’re parents will ignore you until you yell yourself hoarse. Instead, meet your parents in the middle. Ask them to sit down with you to discuss:

* Every rule under which you operate.
* The rules that you understand and respect.
* The rules that you feel are unfair.
* The reasons why you feel that these rules are unfair.
* The reasons why your parents feel that the disputed rules are necessary.
* Possible compromises regarding rules that could be relaxed.

Show that You are Serious

If your past behaviour leaves your parents rolling their eyes at your level of responsibility, offer to show that you are serious about the compromises that you have suggested. Don’t just give them empty promises, but rather let your parents see your intentions in your actions. Consider:

* Drawing up a contract that you are willing to sign regarding the compromise rules.
* Suggesting appropriate punishments in the event that a compromise rule is broken.

* Offering to take on extra responsibilities at home in order to compromise on some of the household rules – or better yet, just start taking them on.

Stay Calm and Collected

In order to succeed in coping with strict parents you’ll need to not only show that you are serious about changes in their rules, but that you can be a serious teen as well. Stay calm and collected at all times when discussing your parents’ rules, and avoid:

* Raising your voice.
* Interrupting others.
* Whining.
* Running away.
* Throwing/kicking/hitting things.
* Slamming doors.

Ask for Help

If, despite your best efforts, your parents refuse to budge regarding the rules of their regime then you may need to ask for help from other adults. Remember, you’ll need to be totally committed and truly believe that your parents’ rules are outrageous or you’ll run the risk of looking immature and/or insincere. If you remain committed to change, then enlist the aid of:

* A relative or family friend.
* A teacher or guidance counsellor.
* A member of the clergy close to your family.
* A private or family therapist.
* A trained mediator.

Most parents make rules in the best interest of their children, but sometimes they go a little overboard. If you are coping with strict parents, do your best to speak with them seriously about their rules and the effect that they are having on your life. Show your parents that you are committed to compromising and you might be pleased with the results. But if things don’t go your way and you truly believe that your strict parents are affecting your life, then consider asking for help from another trusted adult. Whatever you do, be ready to commit fully to any compromises that your parents offer and don’t ever make them regret their decision. Remember, regaining lost trust will be harder than it was to bring about a compromise in the first place.

2-SIBLINGS PROBLEM

Find the Root Cause

Sibling conflicts always have a root cause. That is not to say that all of the causes are justifiable, but it's important to know why a conflict has occurred. Often when teenagers fight it can be for petty reasons, but there is also the chance that something deeper is occurring under the surface. If it seems like your siblings are always picking a fight with you, investigate if:

* They are bored.
* They are hungry or tired, both of which will make them irritable.
* They feel competitive with you.
* They are feeling lonely or in need of attention.
* They are still too young to be mature and logical.
* They are having a hard time at school, with their friends or in a relationship.
* They still bear a grudge from a past argument.
* They don't understand your habits or preferences.
* They have suffered through a recent traumatic event.

Avoid Future Conflicts

How?? take a look friend.....

* Be the bigger person. Sidestep remarks or actions that are meant to open a fight.
* Ignore patronising or teasing behaviour.
* Find a hobby that you can carry out alone and away from the risk of fighting.
* Get out of the house if you feel an argument coming on.
* Offer to involve your siblings in your plans, if they can behave appropriately.
* Open an honest discussion with your siblings. See if anything is bothering them.
* Enlist the aid of your parents or another trusted adult if you are worried.

Resolving Sibling Conflicts

* Learn to compromise. No one likes to feel like the loser.
* Let it end. Don't tease or taunt when an argument is meant to be finished.
* Remain calm. Nothing productive will be achieved by yelling or slamming doors.
* Remove yourself before an argument can become violent.
* Know what you want. If you don't want to achieve something, then why are you fighting?
* Ask someone outside of the conflict to mediate. Agree to follow their decision.
* Not bear a grudge. Nothing will ever be solved if you must revisit a past argument all the time.

Dealing with your siblings can be frustrating and tiring, but it must be done if you want any sort of peace when you are at home. Think about them like roommates, and realise that resolving arguments with your siblings will be good practice for the future. Most fights can be sorted by remaining calm and rational.

EXAMINATION.....

NERVOUS?? EXAMINATION IS AROUND THE CORNER??

DON'T WORRY FRIEND....=)

Everyone who has ever taken an exam remembers the racing pulse, damp palms and sour taste in their mouth right before they turned the paper over and began to work on it. Don't worry, while exam are pretty common, and pretty hard to ward off, there are ways for you to become more confident when it comes to taking exams. Prepare well, arrive confidently and settle into your own exam rituals. Before you know it the exam will be over and you'll be accepting congratulations on your fine results!

TIPS for Preparing Examination.

The most important part of preparing for an exam is knowing what to study. Look back over subjects you've spent a long time with during classes, check back over what you were assigned to read and topics of essays and homework, and even ask your lecturer in case they are willing to give a few hints. Once you know what to study, all you have left is to know how to study.

Remember..while studying....your condition should....

  • In comfortable clothes.
  • In a well lit, quiet and cool room.
  • On a full stomach.
  • Without the television, radio or Internet disrupting you.
  • A little bit every night, not by cramming everything in the night before the exam.
  • Class notes.
  • Notes from readings and homework assignments.
  • Past exam papers.
  • By predicting and answering questions that may come up.
  • By devising and answering different types of questions including,
    • Multiple choice.
    • True or false.
    • Fill in the Blank.
    • Matching.
    • Translations.
    • Short paragraphs.
    • Essays.
  • With a study partner or group - if you can all stay on the right subject.
  • With a tutor if you need a little extra help.

CLIMATE WAS CHANGE!!!!!

WHAT ITS MEAN??

More often the phrase climate change is used synonymously with the terms global warming and greenhouse effect to describe the warmer temperatures that result when man-made gases such as carbon dioxide and nitrous oxides build up in the atmosphere. These gases trap the sun's warmth and higher temperatures result.

The Dangers of Climate Change

When weather patterns change they can catch local communities unaware and unable to combat the freak disasters that may result. Rapid rainfall can be a factor in rising sea levels and floods, while increased temperatures and winds can contribute to draughts, both of which can wipe out crops, destroy properties and lead to famine. These changes can affect our food and water supplies as well. Water-bourn illnesses flourish in floodwaters, and during droughts insects and animals can contaminate and limit the food supply.

Combating Climate Change

With most experts agreeing that climate change and global warming have already begun, there is no better time to take action to combat these processes. To do this, one of the most important steps we can take is to curb the amounts of man-made gas we send into the atmosphere. Leaving behind diesel fuel and embracing clean-burning alternatives will help lower pollution levels, while using less energy, and switching to renewable energy sources, will reduce the amount of carbon dioxide produced.

SO....WHAT SHOULD WE DO????

  • Turning off and unplugging appliances when not in use.
  • Choosing walking, biking or public transport over driving.
  • Lowering our thermostats and home heating levels.
  • Switching off lights when we leave the room.
  • Changing our light bulbs to energy efficient models.
  • Boiling only the amount of water we need for one cup of tea at a time.
  • Limiting the length of our power showers.

H1N1...HOW TO REDUCE THE IMPACT???

LET TALK About it!!!!

Influenza A, the flu, H1N1 become too familiar over the last few months. That virus can cause serious illness and many deaths because people are not immune to it and the impact on society can be crippling. So, what can be done to reduce the impact of influenza???
For starter, we have to be prepared. Prevent yourself and your family from falling ill by preparing for a pandemic. During a pandemic, many public services for instance clinics, hospitals, banks, government office and some more else may be disrupted, so, keep amount of cash. Store more essential supply to cut down on trips. Select non perishable food that do not require refrigeration or preparation. Stock up on milk formulas for infants and children or the elderly. On the other hand, store two weeks supply of fresh water in clean plastic container.
Secondly, what can we do is, maintain in communication especially in public gatherings. To distribute information to fellow members, we can prepare contact lists, including telephone numbers and email address. And to maintain contact with family members, find out where they will go in an emergency and how they will receive care.
Another way to reduce the impact of influenza is by managing medication. If you have the chronic illness such as heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma, depression and etc, continue taking the medications prescribed by your doctor. Make sure you have sufficient supply of these drugs. Also ensure that you discuss with your doctor how to continue on going medical care.
